In the wake of its historic strike victory, the United Auto Workers says thousands of nonunion autoworkers have reached out asking for support in organizing their plants. The UAW already has plans in motion to unionize the whole US auto sector.
Cool, now do it for people who weren’t already making pretty good money. My company needs a union more than anything.
And before someone says “start one”, we’re trying. They fired an entire store of people at another location for trying. It’s also very difficult when most employees don’t stay here longer than 2 weeks. I’ve been here about 8 months, we have about 10-15 employees at any given time, and in that time I’ve seen dozens come and go. Our turnover rate internally is considered well over 100% because we hire and lose so many people per month. And the management just keeps treating us like complete garbage all the while.
