In Times New Roman… is the eighth studio album by American rock band Queens of the Stone Age, released on June 16, 2023, through Matador Records.[2] It was announced in a video teaser on May 11, 2023, and is the band’s first album since Villains (2017).[5] The announcement occurred alongside the release of the lead single, “Emotion Sickness”.[6] The band will tour North America and Europe in support of the record.[7][8]
I’ve only gotten through the album once, so there’s tons of room for it to grow on me, but I don’t feel like I was blown away by anything on there. It was definitely solid though, and I’m happy it’s not in the same vein as Villains.

You and me both. I had a hard time with Villains, but I appreciate the effort. To me, this is the first album since Era Vulgaris that recaptured some of the “old sound”.
In Times New Roman is not my favorite QOTSA album, but it’s for sure my album of the year so far
