      Yeah, at this point it would take an absolute miracle to meet the targets. One of the good things about The Conversation is they are cautious and avoid hyperbole. One of the bad things is that they also tend to undersell the seriousness of a situation.

        The Paris Agreement, with the goal to keep global warming below +1.5°C, was passed 7 years ago.
        2023’s average temperature so far is at +1.4°C.
