This is very entertaining. What generator are you using here?
Bing Image Generator, which uses Dall-E 3.
I wish I knew what to do with these images because they’re so much fun to make.
From my view, just compiling them for all to see is great. All the variations around the common theme just work as a huge wall of pictures.
Maybe someone else can write a book and use selected ones from these for the illustrations. Maybe they could be printed and framed and become an art exhibit. That’s what I can think of just now.
I’m enjoying them so much. I’m quite a Luddite and find AI art very sus but this is so much fun. Other art periods please, and other pop figures in them too, as long as you don’t get bored. Turn it into a story
Thanks. I’m sure I’ll get to other art periods at some point, but medieval art is the one I know the most about. I’m not an art historian, but I took some classes in college.
So I’m curious in how you create the prompts, because your knowledge of medieval art really shines through here and seeing your images makes me understand AI as a serious (erm well great for being silly and therefore useable) tool. I’m not an art historian just a history nerd with a lot of that nerddom being art history.
As another idea for the abundant flood of godzilla medieval art: like a learning resource? Turn them into a card game that teaches people about medieval art while being funny and irreverent. Also, insert some Pokemon for the younger crowd?
I don’t think I can legally do that with these images. Also, they have the Bing watermark in the corner. But I like the idea.
I didn’t know I needed medieval Godzilla in my life. But, here we are.
Are you going to be writing a story situated around this? I am more than willing to spend my Saturday working with anyone that wants to make this.
I have no idea what story there would be. Something that impacted the entire middle ages I guess.
Something that impacted the entire middle ages I guess.
I agree. I have asked Chat GPT to tell me the story of young Godzilla in medieval times. Here is what I got.
"Once upon a time, in a medieval world filled with knights, castles, and mythical creatures, there lived a young Godzilla. This was a time when legends were born, and the land was filled with tales of dragons and heroic knights. But in this world, young Godzilla was no ordinary creature.
Young Godzilla was hatched from a massive, ancient egg hidden deep within the heart of a towering volcano. The egg had been dormant for centuries, and when it finally cracked open, it revealed a small, green lizard-like creature with scales that shimmered like emeralds. As he emerged, the fiery energy of the volcano imbued him with extraordinary powers.
This young Godzilla was different from his monstrous, city-destroying counterpart in many ways. He was innocent, curious, and filled with a desire to explore the world around him. His journey began with a simple wander through the dense, enchanted forests that surrounded his volcanic birthplace.
As he ventured through the medieval landscape, the young Godzilla encountered a world teeming with magical creatures, some friendly and others hostile. Knights on horseback wielding gleaming swords sought to vanquish him, mistaking him for a dragon that terrorized the land. Yet, with his unique powers, young Godzilla could breathe out more than just flames; he could conjure lightning bolts and summon protective energy fields.
One day, while exploring a dense, mystical forest, young Godzilla stumbled upon a hidden glade. In this glade, he met an ancient and wise sorcerer named Merlinius. Merlinius, recognizing the potential for good in young Godzilla, decided to take him under his wing as an apprentice.
Under Merlinius’s tutelage, young Godzilla learned to harness and control his incredible powers. He studied the secrets of magic, learned the ways of the knights and chivalry, and even discovered the art of communication with other creatures of the land. This knowledge transformed him into a formidable protector of the medieval realm.
With his new skills and wisdom, young Godzilla embarked on a quest to defend the kingdom from the true threats of the medieval world – ferocious dragons, menacing witches, and dark sorcerers. Alongside noble knights and valiant warriors, he became a beacon of hope, saving villages and kingdoms from destruction and despair.
Young Godzilla’s adventures and heroism became the stuff of legends, and bards sang songs of his bravery and noble heart. The once-feared creature was now a cherished ally in the fight against evil.
As time passed, young Godzilla grew into a powerful and noble protector of the medieval realm, and his legacy endured through the ages. His story was told and retold, a testament to the notion that even the most unlikely of heroes could rise to greatness and make a lasting impact on the world. And so, young Godzilla’s tale became a timeless legend, reminding all that greatness could be found in the most unexpected places."
Edit: I think some fun and helpful story beats would be that Godzilla doesn’t have a clue who or where his parents are. Just knows that he is the last of his kind. According to the scholars around him.
Perhaps he finds out that he might have family in Japan, but finds this out way later on.
I love you
I love you too, but my wife is in the next room.
When my Gf and I had COVID Godzilla was our wellness mascot. You are giving me so much content.
I’m planning on doing more tomorrow. I’ll do them until I completely run out of ideas. There’s so much to mine though.
This is fantastic/nuts! Sharing with my wife, were both loving them :D
She’s partilarly drawn to the 3-D ones. She would be inclined to 3-D print at least one of those. Then either paint it, or cast a mould and then go the iron sculpture route.
In the back of my mind, I’ve been adding dialogue, like “hey remember that time when Godzilla was at The Last Supper?” or “a classic piece of history, Godzilla fighting alongside the Spartans!” :D Not that you specifically did those; if not, then perhaps ideas for more…?
