Israel has said the “time has come to teach the United Nations a lesson” by banning UN officials from visiting the country – in a row over remarks from secretary-general Antonio Guterres that the deadly 7 October attack by Hamas “did not happen in a vacuum” and had to be seen in the context of decades of occupation of the Palestinians.
This is what happens when you’ve been punching down so long that you actually believe yourself to be strong.
Picking on the angry kid with no shoes isn’t the same as picking a fight with real power. Don’t worry though, you’re their mascot of how benevolent they delude themselves into believing they still are, since they granted you that land you’re on in the first place, so they’ll pat you on the head and tell you your pretty for your outburst there, mascot.
The UN, even the US won’t do anything.
Remember Israel ran a US citizen (Rachael Corrie) over with an armoured bulldozer and attacked a US warship (USS Liberty) suffering zero consequences both times
Oh, no. Don’t ban them entry from Genocide Park…
Spared no
expense…Gazan…
That’s rich of them to say when not only the UN helped form the country in the 40’s and that Israel has the largest number of Resolutions from the UN as they continuously go on breaking international Law. Due to their blatant illegal occupation.
Yet they will come begging for money and weapons to the world and the USA once they eventually run out. Problem is that countries give in too easily.
Also, read somewhere else that they are going to be using nerve gas to kill Hamas. No attempt at a peaceful resolution. Fuck that, just gas them. I have removed family members who are borderline cultish in their blind support for the IDF and they are horrible to be around when they get on that topic. No nuance, they just repeat all the talking points. Over and over. Just pure myopia.
If you can, watch the documentary the Lobby. To see how Israel tries to undermine governments for support. In that case the UK.
We must teach those Israelis a lesson
Tel Aviv ICC trials? Or perhaps drag them to Cairo.
Oh, Oliver boy, what did you do? But crushed a hand you never shook Then robbed the rights of people to be free Oh, Oliver boy, it’s a terrible state You left behind the worse off race Where dignity and pride fought for their place Oh, Oliver boy now you are gone And we’re still here where we belong Forgiveness being our strength you’ll never see

This is the best summary I could come up with:
Israel has said the “time has come to teach the United Nations a lesson” by banning UN officials from visiting the country – in a row over remarks from secretary-general Antonio Guterres that the deadly 7 October attack by Hamas “did not happen in a vacuum” and had to be seen in the context of decades of occupation of the Palestinians.
Mr Guterres also condemned “clear violations of international humanitarian law,” calling Israel’s constant bombardment of Hamas-controlled Gaza in response to the attack, and the level of destruction and civilian casualties, “alarming.”
Escalating the row on Wednesday, he told Israeli Army Radio: “Due to his remarks we will refuse to issue visas to UN representatives.
However, the US secretary of state, Antony Bliken did meet with Mr Guterres after he had spoken and as other countries that spoke in the UN debate were critical of Israel’s operation against Hamas in Gaza.
In the UK, the immigration minister, Robert Jenrick, said that Mr Guterres was “wrong” and he should retract his comments about Hamas’s assault if it implied any justification for the killing of Israelis.
A spokesperson for prime minister Rishi Sunak said that Britain would consider discussing a humanitarian pause in Gaza to facilitate aid coming into the territory, but does not want a wholesale ceasefire as that would only benefit Hamas.
