Eli Weinstein's 24 year prison sentence was commuted by then-President Donald Trump during his final hours in office.

A New Jersey man whose 24 year prison sentence for fraud was commuted by Donald Trump has been charged with orchestrating a new Ponzi scheme. Eli Weinstein was one of 143 people who were granted executive clemency in the final hours of Trump’s presidency. Less than a year after leaving prison, authorities say Weinstein launched a scheme that defrauded 150 victims out of more than $35 million.
