Pop everyone of them with a caution. Put up with two weeks of hell, and eventually it stops. The laws already exist. No new rules needed.

Good, should also give a red card to all the whiny cunts crying to the ref like a child that doesn’t get their candy. Pathetic clowns the lot of them

Is this like a penalty box for getting a yellow card, as opposed to the current punishment which is nothing?

Basically. It’s an idea taken from rugby where after a player gets a yellow card they get sent to the ‘sin bin’ for like 8-10 minutes. It a lot like the penalty box in ice hockey.

I like the idea. I just have very little faith that it would be used fairly and consistently.

Yup, yellow card is definitely too small penalty.

I was thinking of giving 1 match ban after 2 or 3 yellows instead of 5. It’s much easier to implement than sin bin, although sin bin has direct impact on the game foul was made, so if implemented correctly it could be better.

    That’s a big if though

I’m all for testing it if it avoids giving out so many reds, loads of games have been ruined by sending offs + I think we should revisit suspensions.

Getting sin binned or sent off is punishment enough + it’s so easy getting a yellow now that we are seeing a ton of suspensions earlier and earlier every season and the biggest clubs with the most depth are the ones which can deal with suspensions better. The goal should be to try and make sure we are getting the best/fairest games possible

I play rugby but much prefer watching football and the difference in how the players treat the referees is insane, I remember hearing a story about a rugby player switching to football and getting a yellow card for calling the referee ‘sir’ because the referee thought he was taking the piss

I do understand where your coming from but what else are the players to do - the game suddenly stops then the referee tells the players what’s going on then it’s a constant game of waiting
