    the union needs to focus on things it can actually do something about - protecting the, you know, auto workers. leave meddling in international politics for the federal government

      So until the hostages are released, killing thousands of kids and civilians is ok??? Have a heart. Asking for war to stop shouldn’t be a hot take. Both sides should stop and release all their hostages, but that shouldn’t preclude stopping bombing churches, schools, mosques, hospitals, and homes.

        Releasing the hostages means the war stops. Hamas could stop their war at will but they’re hoping for all that sweet propaganda their people’s suffering gets them.

          Israel’s goal in this war isn’t to rescue hostages. Their stated goal is to eliminate Hamas. They’ve said it publicly multiple times.

            I wish people would learn from history more. I don’t know that it’s possible to eliminate Hamas. I mean, the US didn’t manage to eliminate Al Qaeda or the Taliban and they tried for like 20 years.
