          That would surprise me. Most platforms throw permission dialogs whenever an app gets too nosy. If it was a free app, I could see it being forced because it would be harder to block ads.

      When a company pushes you towards their official app, it’s almost exclusively so that they can mine more of your data without your explicit consent
