Doing settler-colonialism is just normal, run-of-the-mill politics for a US Senator. Funding war crimes is baseline. Staunchly defending a military dictatorship in a Middle Eastern country is bog-standard.
Once you get outside the bounds of these historically centrist positions, you are engaging in “purity politics” and producing candidates who are “unelectable”.
In the good timeline, he would’ve been shot for treachery, along with all the other so called “progressives”.
