“Human nature” is such a lazy intellectual cop-out. Just admit the limitations of your own knowledge and understanding, ffs. You’ll be a better person for it.

In addition to the old classics, there’s some pretty new and terrible strands of brainworms.

Few movements self-identify as “Socialist”, at best it’s a taxonomical label. Attempting to talk about the finer points of socialism is akin to debating the pros/cons of “Animals” – it’s an overly broad topic and doomed to spiral into bike-shedding over semantics as soon as the conversation starts to look interesting.

Just confidently demonstrating their own lack of knowledge in the dumbest possible way. If anything the opposite is true, so many different movements have self-identified as socialist that it can sometimes be hard to see what they have in common.

Liberals have such goofy nuance brain. Their primary instinct is to make everything as muddled and abstract as possible to paralyze any thought. This guy is arguing socialism is so vague it might as well not even exist, it’s just a linguistic quirk.

I have to guess liberals with this level of solipsism have never met nor interacted with socialists in their daily lives. Leftism is just something they’ve kind of heard about, never anything they’ve had to confront except maybe confused people online.

    Denmark is not socialist

At least someone in the comments seems to have a clue.

    nor is it capitalist

I love the idea of socialism. It unfortunately dies at the hand of human nature, but it’s great for ants and bees.

    jesse-wtf

but it’s great for ants and bees.

socialism is when you’re born sterile and instinctively forced to dedicate your entire life to the survival of your queen and her offspring

    • Human nature lmao. Cool, just don’t look at evolution or anything. Cooperation leads to the best odds of survival for the group. Competition is a dead end. Look at a shark. Unchanged for a hundred million years. Apex predator. Why? Because its got nowhere to go. Its reached the end. It will die as it is. Cooperation is human nature. Capitalism is antisocial. Libs are hopeless.

I read that thread earlier and almost got an aneurysm. The brainworms in this one are really strong… How can you talk so confidently about something while being totally wrong?
