"I don’t want to support lazy people!"

You try hard capitalism sycophants have got a funny way of showing it, laboring for greedy bastards who sit back lazily and watch their money make money instead of laboring for society, and under a CEO who spends most of their time “networking” aka bullshitting, while habitually drinking on the job because their office has a bar.

You must love supporting lazy people since you donate most of your labor’s value to them every workday.

Insane, isn’t it? Glorification of the ‘Protestant work ethic’ was a mistake; abolish neocalvinism now pls

Right? They love lazy people. It’s just they’re rich. In this dystopian country, when you’re rich, you get worshiped by bootlicking morons and can do nothing wrong. Literally everything you do is totally awesome and cool and you’re super smart. You can even commit whatever crimes you want when you’re rich with zero consequences. Just write a check to everyone and go about your day. What a fucking joke.

With all the money we’ve spent on Ukraine, a pointless money laundering scheme for the MIC, we could’ve done so much good in this country.

Fucking lmao. Nice to see you dodge the actual crimes that Russia has committed in exchange for absurd accusations and whataboutism. You have fun with your Jewish Nazi Zelenskyy delusions.

So, I don’t support the killing of anyone… regardless of what “side” you’re on. But, to play devil’s advocate… What’s your opinion on Ukraine implementing the social credit system, around the time they got invaded? And, this is the second time Russia has invaded Ukraine in a short period of time, why is it only now that we saw every website on the internet with “Here’s what we’re doing to support Ukraine”?

Inaction is on the side of injustice. The idea that Ukraine had implemented a ‘social credit’ system is conspiracy nonsense based around a government app trying to make it easier for people to get ahold of their documents.

The reasons for the current support are manifold. The shortest way to tell it is that 2014 annexation of Crimea was a shitshow where the Russians went for ‘plausible’ deniability while Ukraine was in the middle of a revolution, and put great effort into disguising their efforts to support separatists in the east. Now the Russians are quite openly ‘intervening’ in Ukraine, Ukraine is no longer going through a revolution and reorganization of its government, and Russian crimes against humanity are on a scale that dwarfs all participation in the previous ‘frozen conflict’ in the Donbass. tldr; they went bigger this time, and people find it harder to ignore.

Absolutely agree with inaction is on the side of injustice. Thank you for your input, I learned a couple of things I didn’t know about. Was just curious, and hope I didn’t come off as leaning in favor of anything. lol

The only one who is deluded is you. They are wearing SS symbols and other Nazi symbols. Russia is not in the right either. Unlike you, I don’t support either side. The only reason the US is involved is because they’re money laundering. The US doesn’t give a shit about democracy or anything like that. They don’t care about the people of Ukraine or Russia. The US has done just as bad things.

Russians are the nazis here and Ukraine is perfect testing ground for US weapons. Every russian terrorist KIA brings a smile to my face. Greetings from Finland.

I like the fact that Lemmy is starting to feel more like reddit though, where there’s always someone in a pro-Ukraine post going: “bUt UkRaiNe hAs nAzis”.

We sent older weapons that were already bought and paid for. The replacements are already budgeted. That money is getting spent, no matter what.

We’re getting free intelligence on how modern wars are fought, particularly against our enemy. (That enemy would be Russia, for any Republicans in the room that were confused.)

We’re getting free intelligence on how our weapons perform killing Russian armor, drones, aircraft and meat.

The US, along with the rest of NATO, is propping up an ally. One that will join NATO about 2 seconds after this is done. Russia will now have another enemy at the gates. And let’s not forgot that this war caused Finland, and other nations to join, stretching Russia’s NATO border by 1,340km.

    Win WIN in my book!

We all know why they’re objecting. Because a Democrat is in office. Otherwise, they’d be full on war hawk, as usual. Well, there’s also the uncomfortable truth that a good many of our Congressmen are bought and paid for by Putin, including a former President.

And some of them were literally nearing their expiration date. It’s insane how far some people will go to try and defang a reasonably free and democratic country from defending itself.

It’s because they’re not expressing genuine empathy. Groups that need something/help are just a cudgel to be used against another group that needs something so neither are helped.

Only with blue and red partisans.

But you’ll be hard-pressed getting blue and red partisans to give a crap about the economic situation in middle class and poor America.
