MOSCOW, Jan 11 (Reuters) - A senior ally of President Vladimir Putin warned on Thursday that any Ukrainian attacks on missile launch sites inside Russia with arms supplied by the United States and its allies would risk a nuclear response from Moscow.
I will be disappointed if Ukraine doesn’t hit them in the next few days.
@lusterko Medvedev also says this in response to all other activities and possibilities.
I was surprised that we didn’t hear any nuclear threats from him for a month or two. Now it’s back to “normal”
“Medvedev warns of nuclear response if weather gets colder”.
You know, it does sound like it could be an actual news article.
That’s one of the more plausible ones because a nuclear detonation would (temporarily) warm things up a bit.
This would be nuclear red line number… what, twenty, thirty by now?
There’s an old parable about crying wolf that might need to be translated into Russian for this guy.
If Moscow wants to draw a credible line in the sand regarding nuclear war in 2024, it isn’t going to do so by having Medvedev issue another vague statement.
They don’t want a credible threat, just a vague threat to scare cowards away from doing the right thing and supporting Ukraine.
The Kremlin won’t use nukes because it would be the end of their lives and they’re greedy, self-centered terrorists.
Well that way we learn if they still have one that works. Which isn’t completely certain to me anymore, given the state of the rest of their forces.
Now might also be the last chance to send it to Kyiv by missile, before they have to resort to sending it by truck. Probs gonna self-arm-and-detonate on the third pothole anyway…
