Since I’ve abandoned Reddit, I find myself looking for content similar to what I was subscribed to on there.

This looks to be the most active of the Lemmy transplants, so it looks like I’ll do my lurking here instead on some other Lemmy community.

As much as a shitshow it’s turning out to be over there, I am thankful for Reddit and for having had /r/atheism as a default sub, otherwise it would have taken me a little longer to become atheist

    I sure hope so.

    Also, a tip, a good way to find a ton of active communities, is to go lurking through someone’s user history. Since that’ll only include stuff posted or commented, you’ll automatically be looking at communities with activity.

    I mean many communities still need people to actually create posts, this one is the same. That’s the thing about early adoption, you’re going to have less content at the start for you to lurk through.

    However, if there is content, it’s usually good and you get nice comment threads, pretty much like reddit from the old old days, so that’s nice.

    Maybe you’d want to post some? Also don’t forget to vote :D
