Dorotya is the tarantula I’ve kept for longest. She is very feisty, and never misses a meal!

Can you hold them in your hands? Are they venomous?
All spiders are venemous, but they will not usually bite unless they feel threatened. I’ve never been bitten, but I also don’t take her out to hold her very often.
I always wanted to ask a spider/snake owner - why? Is it out of curiosity for this particular species?
I’ve always thought spiders and bugs in general were cute. It’s also a really low-maintenance pet. Also there’s thousands of different species, with more being discovered all the time, so there’s a lot to keep me interested.
