At this point it looks like the only entities really serious about developing nuclear fusion are China and Bill Gates. Of course one wants it to benefit humanity, the other wants more intellectual property to lord over everyone else.

China may well beat the Americans to the moon at this point as well. I imagine most technological advances in every field will come out of China, seeing as they’re leading the world in patent applications and the US all but refuses to share research.

reminds me that china is also leading research into hologram technology, it’s a laser that strips electrons from the air and can draw with the light that is emitted
