    Yeah I definitely skipped Vista. XP was my last one and Vista was the reason I ultimately went to Mac OS and have never looked back to Windows (though I am probably swapping to Mint OS or similar soon…).

    Back then Apple was on really entering its (new) stride and the UX was just light years ahead.

    I remember plugging a printer into my buddy’s powerbook, it finding the drivers by default, downloading them, then letting me print. This all took about 15 seconds and 2 clicks on my part. That moment was when I went “yeah I’m getting a mac” lol. There was just something novel about a system I didn’t have to fight with all the time.
