A bomb shipment was halted last week over concerns Israel was going ahead with a Rafah offensive.

The shipment consisted of 1,800 2,000lb (907kg) bombs and 1,700 500lb bombs, the official told CBS News, the BBC’s media partner in the US.

Israel has not “fully addressed” US concerns over humanitarian needs of civilians in Rafah, the official says.

Israel made no immediate comment.

      Well that’s the carrot part of the carrot and stick, but since they’ve invaded I’m not sure what they are going to hold it out for.

    Those aren’t needed for this phase of the operation. Biden is pandering to the morons who think this will matter. It lets Bibi yell and scream about Israel not needing US assistance to defend itself. Not that these are defensive munitions anyways.

    This is a well hyped nothing burger. Rafah is going to fall.
