The run way then shot itself twice in the back of the head
737-300, so not a new plane. Don’t think this has much to do with the current Boeing problems. Probably maintenance issues at the charter firm, or pilot error.
Yeah, some of these are just getting extra attention because the plane is a Boeing and media is on the lookout for it. (Probably) not Boeing’s fault, but they will continue to be blamed for all issues on their planes until things are resolved with the investigation. Not exactly fair for Boeing, but they kinda brought this on themselves.
but they kinda brought this on themselves.
Well yea, that’s the point of taking aviation safety seriously. It’s frightening with many points of failure and disaster easily being fatal.
So unless there’s total diligence, the whole industry deserves to feel the heat. If we can’t easily handle corruption in areas of high risk, then we can’t have nice things. It’s pretty simple.
And the industry is affected and should care too. I don’t want to check what model of plane I’m boarding and then be faced with choosing between my ticket price and my life on the balance of probabilities I don’t know anything about. I just won’t fly instead.
Make sure you don’t drive either because it’s a lot more dangerous than flying
Not while you’re in a plane it isn’t.
tl;dr: no-one was killed
