Republicans are foaming at the mouth for Netanyahu to chat them up. Their vile comments for disproportionate retaliation often get linked to Bush’s response to 9/11, saying it’s Israel’s right to retaliate like we did.
We lost almost 3,000 innocent people on 9/11. Bush claimed almost 1M lives in his two front war. I’m a New Yorker and I protested his murderous response.
We were wrong then, and this is wrong now.

The invitation is not from Republicans alone.
He should have said the right, which many Democrats are, not Republicans. The point stands.
That’s true, but Democrats are the ones speaking out against it, and most Republicans expressed support of Johnson’s invitation.
Attending & hitting with pointed-questions would do more than not-attending.
Same with all the people who quit their post in order to protest the misuse-of-authority: when you get out of abuse’s way … you aren’t hindering it, you’re only making a “social statement”.
Remaining in the way, & pushing back is what’s required, right?
