Summary: Two cops open a bathroom door to see armed “offender”, however “offender” did not have weapon drawn/aimed. Rookie cop panics, runs, and shoots blindly behind them and hits veteran cop, who then requires surgery to remove 2 bullets received from rookie cop. Police force tries to pin shooting on “offender”. Veteran cop objects to “offender” being blamed and sees disciplinary action for lack of active body cam. Rookie cop suffers no repercussions for blindly firing service weapon. Something something questions about qualified immunity.
Slow clap for the police force for not only a bungled police response, but also trying to pin an officer shooting injury on ~checks notes~ a civilian who did not fire their weapon, while the cop that fired blindly resulting in injury is not recorded to have even received a warning or repercussions if any sort.
I’m not a bot, I’m just bored.
Good bored.
Looks like eventually the problem will take care of itself. Bake em away, toys.
