Last I heard, yields were very low so while a cool attempt, it’s not clear it can ever compete with wheat. Interesting that they’ve managed to double the yield though I would wonder how the new strains match up before getting too excited.

Cool, are they just locally distributed or could you find them elsewhere? I’d be interested to try them.

Ya Kernza has its issues: small harvest, grains ripen at different times and different sizes. But the main issue is wether people will buy it. If there’s a market, then problems will be overcome or overlooked.
I would certainly be interested if it was available in my area but I haven’t seen anything about it in years until you posted this.
