I want to get a job at a think tank casting bones and then writing very serious real expert articles about what state actors are going to do next.
why the hell would they take a firm side instead of squeezing both? its worked so far
I expect there’s going to be external pressure to pick a side eventually.
Are they tired of being in proxy wars with the rest of NATO while Israel gets treated like an actual ally?
I’m surprised that Israel hasn’t been offered NATO membership already.
Israel is a package everyone can hear ticking
They have been trying apparently but turkey was agaisnt it every time. Nato is going to rush for it the moment turkey is out.
Turkiyë should remain for this reason. Just stay to veto new members, and come to an agreement with other BRICS nations to reward them for their efforts.
No room in the white supremacy alliance for people that aren’t white supremacists.
Can’t Turkey be in both NATO and BRICS, or is one of the requirements for BRICS to not be part of a murder cult?
There’s no rule prohibiting it as far as I know, but in practice I think there will be immense pressure on Turkey to leave NATO once it joins BRICS.
Wouldn’t surprise me even if nato would lose a lot by kicking turkey out. It’s the only military worth something with the American and French. And they didn’t empty their stocks in ukraine as well. The west would lose influence there like with russia and they would be hostile with the second biggest military in europe.
Wouldn’t leaving NATO just invite a possible “intervention” in the future?
They can always join CSTO after :)
