When asked if discrimination existed in Idaho, conservative Sen. Dan Foreman said no.

Democratic candidate for House Seat A and member of the Nez Perce tribe Trish Carter-Goodheart said she pushed back on that idea when it was her turn to speak

[J]ust because someone hasn’t personally experienced discrimination, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Racism and discrimination are real issues here in Idaho, as anyone familiar with our state’s history knows,” the statement read. “I highlighted our weak hate crime laws and mentioned the presence of the Aryan Nations in northern Idaho as undeniable evidence of this reality.

That’s when Sen. Foreman lost all control. His words to me: “I’m sick and tired of this liberal bullshit! Why don’t you go back to where you came from?!”

    P1: There is no racism!

P2: Yes there is… look at the facts.

P1: (Proceeds to spew racist crap and storm off.)

Proving her point with his actions.

Indigenous people, including the Nez Perce tribe, have lived in the Columbia River Basin for thousands of years.

Foreman (the senator in question) was born in Lake Forest, Illinois.

We should pass a law that makes it legal for indigenous people to shoot white people on sight whenever they want. They should be allowed to chase people off their property. Like a “stand-your-ground” law, but for an entire state.

There’s this whole thing with the ghost dance where the native people tried to make whites go away by dancing on their own. Like they had given up trying to kill them and just said “fuck it we will try magic to make you go away.” It didn’t work of course but it was kinda nice that while getting shot to death by whites they tried to do something that wasn’t just shooting them back. They had more humanity while being genocided than the people murdering them. Cautionary tale.
