It’s Doom.
It’s literally a photo of id software devs. You can tell by John Romero’s glorious mane.
Doom 1 and Doom 2016 are in this picture.
How big was the team for 2016?
Let alone neither carmack nor romero had anything to do with it :p
Half Life.
Age of Empires II.
Homeworld.
Homeworld hired an actual band though.
Populous: The Beginning
Black and WhiteWarcraft 1 & 2
Monkey Island 1-3
I could go on.
Black and White was 2000s
Ah, so it was. That era is pretty much all blurred together in my mind.
Red Alert 2.
I’ve gone four hours without mentioning it
By far my favorite game of all time. 11/10
Hell yeah! There are dozens of us! No game has topped it for me
I was so disappointed in RA3. It was absolute shit
I completely agree. That was my biggest disappointment in gaming.
Looking Glass Studio
- System Shock
- Thief
- Theif 2
Miss them so much
Nobuo Uematsu carried hard with his music. Squeenix hasn’t been the same since he left the company
Completely agree. That being said, they still have Masayoshi Soken, and he is easily in the top 3 modern Video Game Composers.
So much of my emotional investment in FFXIV is enhanced by the music, especially in Endwalker.
Optimal game dev size.
Video games changed so much during the 90s. I feel like this describes a single year.
Soundtracks have always been fire though. I still have the Streets of Rage 2 soundtrack, Red Alert soundtrack, Sim City 3000, etc in my playlist.
Carmageddon’s sound track was made by Fear Factory 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nine in Nails did the music and sound fx for quake.
I feel like it might have started the trend, but I’m not sure.
Edit: also, I hadn’t thought about fear factory in decades. Time to get double bass drummed right back to high school!
About the majestic soundtrack of Doom: That’s why it’s still my ringtone.
Morrowind.
I still listen to this music when working. Puts me right in the mood
Maybe if the book was eight times taller
The book is from the game and actually only has 2 pages in it.
Morrowind!
Graphic’s
Crazy Taxi
Baulders Gate
Goldeneye
Counterpoint, some 90s games like Half-Life had a pretty good story
I think the meme is suggesting most games had a decent story. Not Game of Thrones level, but a decent 200 page book.
Duke 3D, Shadow Warrior, and Blood.
Those were build different.
