Damn, this is sad. As a happy Boost user for five years, this pretty much signifies my exit of Reddit as well.

I’m just glad that Lemmy app development is well under way. Hopefully one of them will eventually reach Boost’s high standards of UX.

It’s pretty slick, but too iOS-ified for my liking.

The closest to Boost so far in terms of UI is Jerboa, IMO.

Boost was my app of choice, I’m going to miss the customization of the interface and the filters. I used he filters so much since r/all was garbage without them. It would be nice if it gets ported to Lemmy in the future.

The only reddit app I used for the last 5 years, if not more. This is actually sad. Fuck Spez.

I never used Boost (I used a “rival” 3rd party app), but I feel bad for people who put the time and effort into building these great apps, just to have to shut them down. Spez really screwed the pooch on this one.

Apollo is basically the only app I use on my phone. The mismanagement of this situation by spez and crew was so bad you can almost laugh at it

Out of habit I launched Apollo on my phone and felt bad about what is happening.

I’ve migrated to Lemmy and thanks to Memmy (iOS app) I am enjoying the fediverse. It reminds me so much of Apollo. It’s a beta and only available using TestFlight.

I need to go buy some wallpapers from the Apollo app and use the tip jar to say thanks to the Dev.

It’s definitely the end of an era for me.

Really hoping lemmy can keep slowly growing and stays active
