It will come out Jan-Mar in Japan, maybe in Autumn 2024 in some select places of the world, and finally on BluRay in 2025, after which anyone will be able to see it.

Yes. The first movie is Beginnings, the second movie is Eternal. These are essentially just the TV show in movie form, so if you prefer to watch the show instead, you can; that worked better for my schedule.

      The third movie is Rebellion.

There’s a spinoff called Magia Record, which is its own self-contained story only set in the same universe as the show. Worth watching IMO, but don’t expect to see much of the main cast

The First two movies, Beginnings and Eternal are simply a slimmed down version of the original series. The third movie, Rebellion, is entirely new content, as is the upcoming movie. Thus, either:

      • Original series > Rebellion > Walpurgisnacht: Rising
      • Beginnings > Eternal > Rebellion > Walpurgisnacht: Rising

Will both work fine, though generally the series is recommended over the movies due to them having to cut out some scenes to save runtime. Or if you want and don’t mind the repetition, you can always watch the series first and then all of the movies.

Magia Record series is a spinoff featuring a different main cast and can be watched any time after the original series/first two movies. It will most likely not be in any way mandatory watching before the upcoming movie.

I am very very hyped. I’ve been assuming the movie’ll be bad, but this trailer actually looks very cool and maybe even a bit subversive!

I remember seeing the sequel movie in theaters — it was a delight, so many people cosplaying! The movie itself was a very slight letdown, but still very enjoyable. I can’t wait to see this one in theaters, too! Maybe I’ll be a cosplayer, this time. :D
