now you can tell Reddit to get fucked, democratically
This is a brilliant way to get around spez’s threats. The subreddit is open, the moderators are moderating, and any result of the poll is just the will of the community.
yes I’m so glad someone thought of this - its genius and I hope it works!
The idea that Spez et al would back down from the hypocrisy of saying “no not that way” and replacing the mods anyway is absurd.
But at least it will create some more stories about how awful the reddit admins are.
I feel so conflicted. On the one hand, going back to reddit feels dirty. On the other hand, who doesn’t like some sexy John Oliver pics?
Lemmy needs to come together as a community and supply some sexy John Oliver pics!
sexy John Oliver pics
Redundancy is redundant
Great way to maliciously comply, and perhaps a great way to get John Oliver to talk about the Reddit dumpster fire on his show
Didn’t he talk about reddit before?
It would actually be great if news of this poll reached him. There’s no way he wouldn’t pick it up (at least for a side joke on another news piece).
I don’t recall any episodes explicitly about reddit. I do know that he has cited reddit posts in many segments as sources or as jokes (example).
I would also find it funny if they then linked a kbin magazine for posting actual pictures
literally this lol
Guess what website is going to be featured on Last Week Tonight for some reason.
Maybe when the writer’s strike is over.
I’ve done my part!
malicious compliance <3
thank you for the heads-up! I did my deed! 🤓
The creative ways found by the communities to tell spez to fuck off is one of the few good things that has come from this disaster
There‘s clearly only one way forward for r/pics!
Every pic of John oliver is a sexy pic.
Now, THAT’S malicious compliance 😂
How about every sub follow the same?
Looks like r/gifs is following as well
Require all posts in r/gaming to include a John Oliver facecam?
this is the way
and this is precisely why i haven’t deleted my reddit account yet
I’m enjoying all of that subreddit changes and oddities that are popping up. Also pretty keen on seeing some of the random new community starting both on here and squabbles such as this one: https://squabbles.io/s/OnlyFlans
