Web 2.0 took off with help from the economic conditions of the 2000s. Recent moves from Reddit and Twitter signal that that era is coming to an end.

    If you consider a few companies owning most of the web “open” 🙄 The web was far more open before the large companies consumed it all, and federated platforms are taking us back there.
