It’s ironic that the most reasonable and smartest character of the Task Force M (as per Waller from episode 1) met its end with what was just a bit of pushing from her teammates. I guess she was the most human among the Task Force.

As a character, The Bride definitely got more attention in this season

As for Circe, I agree the character was underutilised despite being in majority of the episodes. Episode 4 was her last appearance, IIRC.

Also, considering Eric’s whole arc this season, it was funny as it accomplished nothing. His reunion with The Bride was anticlimactic from Eric’s perspective. From The Bride’s perspective, it was as common as any reunion from their centuries old feud.

The show was fine and fun, and a nice start for the new DCU. Episode 4 remains my favourite episode, and Dr. Phosphorus’ back story being preferred among all the back stories.

Is it really that surprising that of all members of Task Force M, it was Nina? It was almost predictable from the start of the episode, given it is written by James Gunn.

A double length episode would indeed be a pleasant surprise, but if that was the case, they would have made it an eight episode season instead.

Surprisingly, I found that this episode juggled the main story and character flashbacks much better, while still moving the main story forward within the same 20 odd minutes as the other episodes’ runtime. It becomes more contrasting in comparison with the previous episode.

I did look into this while researching the phone, while still knowing that it is not a practical approach for most people. However, HMD phones are absent from the custom firmware scene.

I was about to buy this phone as a Christmas gift to someone who was a fan of the Nokia Lumia phones, but the high reparability makes little sense when the software support is only for two years from the phone’s release date.

The story does not move forward, aside from shedding some light on Eric’s backstory.

Also, why did Eric kill the gypsy woman? Is this his way of ensuring she is never alone? Or is it some twisted sense of justice for the care she provided? Right now, it feels hollow and like it happened "just because”.

Having (re)started using IRC recently, I can see it being a good alternative. But more accessible options like Matrix and Discourse are being overlooked.

Most recently, Marvel’s Spider-Man. I just loved immersing myself in that world: the environment, swinging, combat mechanics, and lighting. It is a cozy place to be, whether winding down after a stressful day, chatting with someone, or listening to music. I also got back to gaming after more than a decade, and this was the game that got hooked me again.

But my all-time favourite would be Age of Empires from back in the day – LAN games with friends and new coworkers, as well as the campaigns. A perfect way to unwind after work. I played it almost religiously for a couple of years in the late 90s.

An honorary mention goes to Hollow Knight, as the game finally clicked for me late last year. But when I checked the playtime, it was still lower than Marvel’s Spider-Man. Moreover, I don’t associate it with that same “feel-good” vibe as the other titles, but it was definitely a great experience. It also gave me a reason to keep using my Steam Deck.
