Cuteness enjoyer.
Makes me think about Asobi Asobase when they kamehameha’d the teacher and he played along. Quite like that scene.
Ah ok. It is understandable that there will be some false positives. I understand it better now, thanks for the explanation.
Does it say “failed external validation” when it thinks it’s illegal? I tried re-uploading a community logo which is a crop of a frame from an anime but it quickly flashed such an error in the corner of the screen. Is anything copyrighted illegal? I have had some images not shown up for a long while, didn’t know this could be it.
The picture for reference:
You mean the hacker that went by pompompurin and your username being Jia Tan?
I have this too, I think it is mostly just our vocab being too small still. If you know all the words but not all the grammer, you can guess/infer pretty well and by doing so learn by listening. But if you don’t know the words (even if you know the grammer) they might as well be saying “The blabla is blabla and blabla was blablaed”. I try to learn from a more structured source (book, app, website, etc) and then when I listen to things I can pick up more words that I then recognize. Which are then reinforced into me. Personally I make sure to practice Japanese before I watch an anime episode to get this process going, or at least make sure I don’t skip out on the more boring work. I do feel I improve slowly over time. Don’t think there is a special way to go or any shortcuts, you just need to keep studying as well as consume content.
I have finished all of Minami-ke, for now. It’s not the best thing ever but it grew on me. Season 1 is decent, season 2 is the worst in my opinion. Season 3 is decent again and season 4 felt quite comfy. In 2025 season 5 will come out after a gap of more than 10 years. It will join Hidamari Sketch as a rare slice of life with 5 full seasons. Both classic SOL that started in 2007. I also finished all of Gochuumon wa Usagi desuka. It is just a very good show, I hope for another season one day.
Is this dear sisters or dear friends? I remember she came to the door in dear sisters. Nadeshiko called her “Himako”. I thought that was very cute. All of the Oomuro sisters have names ending in “ko”: “Nadeshiko”, “Sakurako”, “Hanako”. By calling her “Himako” Nadeshiko included Himawari in the group of sisters, seemingly as an honorary sister of the family.
The one in particular that you brought up is how much the girls don’t want to be too muscular, but rather just slim.
I haven’t seen this show but isn’t this just realistic? Most woman just don’t want to be ripped or bulky. The real danger is woman thinking they are definitely going to be all buff if they work out, and thus not working out or doing sports. And not doing any of that is not good for your health. Woman should know that gaining significant muscle mass is already hard for men, let alone woman, so they can work out safely without worrying too much. As long as you don’t hop on the juice and/or devote your life to the gym.
I mean, her role is to absorb damage for the party, muscles are kind of a prerequisite.
It’s a show with magic and stuff, so I don’t think that holds. Reasoning the other way around, if it would hold, then given her appearance Darkness shouldn’t have the physical ability that she indeed has.
I don’t know of any. I do like keyboard based workflows so I have VimiumC in firefox which does what you want. A tiling window manager is the solution for the desktop environment part. The tricky part is navigating existing GUI apps.
They all work using macOS’ accessibility API which exposes UI elements for programmatic interaction.
Because linux doesn’t have a unified framework because of our freedom, things like this are very tricky if not practically infeasible (at least as far as I know).
edit: There was also a thing where you divide up the screen recursively with keyboard shortcuts and when the intersection hovered over whatever you want to click you could hit a key and it would generate a mouseclick there. I forgot the name, never tried it either. But a plus is that it doesn’t need applications to implement a certain API to work so it would work system wide.
Didn’t know about Veilid.
Interesting to hear. All my trousers have a single button but that’s it. When I get a job I’m gonna have to wear buttoned shirts probably. My clothing pet peeve is smooth textiles on my skin. I like texture so I do like denim. As far as I can tell adult men don’t wear overalls in urban areas where I live, and I don’t have one either. I used to have one when I was a kid though. I think it looks cute on kids and girls like on Chinatsu here.
I won’t get sick of you or anyone else that interacts with decency :) If I didn’t want people to interact with posts, each other and myself I wouldn’t have started these communities.
And for the overall, is it a physical discomfort or a mental one (e.g. not feeling covered up)? You have multiple comments about characters not looking comfortable in their clothes. You can always comment if something is bothering you.
Overalls are a staple comfy garment! And why stop commenting (assuming you like to comment)?
Chobits sound interesting, I’ll add it to my watch list.
I think the left most one is supposed to be the spaced out one.
A doujinshi is a self-published work by an amateur author. When it relates to an existing IP, it is a derivative work that is usually tolerated by the industry and IP/copyright holders. Many authors started out as doujinshi authors. I’m pretty sure Namori herself started out that way. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doujinshi This would mean that usually an “official doujinshi” is not really a thing that makes sense. Confusingly, an official doujinshi seems to exist: https://mangadex.org/title/fdbf786d-6075-45d5-b211-2a58786392f9/yuri-yuri . Some of the volumes are done by Namori herself and others are done by other artists (how it usually goes).
A slight shyness or sense of discomfort can be seen as a form of moe in Japanese related media. Namori doesn’t seem to be afraid of using it. It is not to everyone’s taste. I enjoy it when it is slight like in this picture, but it can go way to far very quickly. For example, the famous Akari-Chinatsu scene in the anime I find very uncomfortable.
I almost exclusively write my handwriting practice with my fountain pen. Then what is it for? Please don’t ask me. Although sometimes I write a birthday card. Which always goes horrible wrong somehow. So 99% is practice, and the 1% real work is horrible despite that much practice 😭. The only other thing is my sketchbook. Which is an assault to the eyes. Sketching sounds like a short form activity but it takes me surprisingly long to do a simple drawing.
Quink (I spelled it wrong, thanks) is a cheap ink. And I mean that in a good way. Most other bottled ink is slightly to significantly more expensive per milliliter. And it performs reasonably well. Not my favorite by any means but a good workhorse ink to get some work done. Also supposedly gentle with vintage pens I have heard.
