Maybe we see the face of God when we look at our neighbor, partner, child, pet, mirror.
It took me two days to treat this article, because it was so disheartening and I had to keep putting it aside. It’s two years old and nothing has changed for the better.
And made by the creator of the platform, if I understand correctly. Notice how harshly he “crushed dissent.” 🙄
Disgusting fascists. I won’t even insult the porcine persuasion by associating their kind with these fascists.
Autocorrected when out of the field of vision, from personal experience. It’s not that hard to see what they mean, unless someone is more invested in “winning” by petty means.
It’s mainly because words/phrases such as: murder, suicide, rape, human trafficking, forced prostitution, child sexual abuse, etc can get you banned on those platforms. Don’t blame the people who work around, to discuss important but heavy subjects, blame the algorithms and report -happy users who for some weird reason, are opposed to these topics being discussed. Probably perpetrators or enablers imo not who knows?
Are they going to deport Elon and Melania? Of course not.
I’m not even mad! I’m just into certain mythologies a bit enough to hear of random stuff like this.
It was so dumb I couldn’t help but laugh.
I’m not sure why this showed up as a reply to me looking up Zappa’s politics. Zappa was Zappa.
Wait till you learn of the 616 papyri.
Not quite.
In a 1991 interview, Zappa reported that he was a registered Democrat but added “that might not last long—I’m going to shred that.”[148] Describing his political views, Zappa categorized himself as a “practical conservative.”[nb 13] He favored limited government and low taxes; he also stated that he approved of national defense, social security, and other federal programs, but only if recipients of such programs are willing and able to pay for them.[1]: 315–316, 323–324, 329–330 He opposed military drafts, saying that military service should be voluntary.[149] He favored capitalism, entrepreneurship, and independent business, stating that musicians could make more from owning their own businesses than from collecting royalties.[150] He opposed communism, stating, “A system that doesn’t allow ownership… has—to put it mildly—a fatal design flaw.”[1]: 315–316, 323–324, 329–330 He had used his album covers to encourage his fans to register to vote, and throughout 1988, he had registration booths at his concerts.[11]: 348 He even considered running for president of the United States as an independent.[11]: 365 [151]
I imagine it’s less fun for employees.
And money! Customers pay for these atrocities.
That’s great! I’m glad it’s there for you.
Thank you for this explanation. I was a bit distracted reading the article and got the sense it was similar to our ”best” alternative to single-payer health, which got us Obamacare (I know he wanted better but still).
If individuals in California can’t find coverage, they may choose to sign onto the FAIR Plan, often referred to as the “last resort plan.” This system is not run by the government or taxpayer-funded, but rather a statutorily mandated, involuntary association of private property and casualty insurers, which pool together a fund that is used to help pay out claims. Overseen by the California Department of Insurance, the FAIR Plan mechanism is required to write insurance for those who cannot secure private insurance, but that doesn’t mean it’s free. Premiums under this plan are often high to reflect risk, and some homeowners may decide to go without any insurance at all.
This sounds like a capitalist alternative to single-payer, so worse. Less benefits, higher costs, people can’t afford it so do without.
Jeez, just at least give us a mixed economy, if robber barons can’t abide by socialist economy.
Darned paparazzi!
