I have a terrible habit of forgetting which community I’m in.
One of my favorite singer-songwriters, Dan Bern, wrote many of the songs for that movie. Just an extra reason for me to love it.
That’s fair. I’m just tired of that kind of aggressive commenting. It doesn’t lead to conversation or growth.
I’d love to see a movie that actually adapts the book. Heinlein has written that the book carried through to a logical end what happens when only veterans can vote: They find a way to always be at war with something.
Hence the war with the bugs, which are everywhere, different, and just scary enough.
An actual adaptation of the book will not detract from the prior movie, which nailed the propaganda but little else.
Nationalize them! Bring this back under societal control and eliminate that tax.
Then SpaceX, Twitter, and Amazon.
Of course this assumes we defeat the fascists and fix the Supreme Court first.
Please don’t be so condescending.
We are trying to have better conversations here, and mocking someone really doesn’t help.
(Edited because person replying had a very solid point.)
Federalist Society member.
I might give that a shot.
Fight Club.
That Dust Brothers soundtrack stands well enough on its own.
Gandalf: “Nobody will believe you.”
Trump, The Federalist Society, Project 2025, and a hostile Supreme Court will still be our enemies.
You’re correct that removing Musk from the equation would be a win but we have to stay focused.
Having grown up with Shel’s poetry, it was amazing as an adult to find his music.
Especially because I’m a massive stoner and he was too!
Let’s be realistic, her manager didn’t have the authority to pay her if she couldn’t make it in and she needed the money.
As fucked as it is, they may have actually been helping to the best of their ability. The ‘manager’ may make $1.50 more per hour.
The marketing of this lost me entirely. Now knowing something about the story they’re trying to tell, I might be interested.
“Because reasons.”
Fuck off. Reasons do matter. And you’re choosing not to list them for ‘reasons’.
So readers, when you see this song name, do you think of The Beatles, or Ferris Beuller?
I’m in the latter category despite having known that song well before the movie came out. But I wasn’t old enough to really have been a Beatles fan so I’m curious !
Weird, this is a spinoff of the older show.
Another sign I’m getting old, this snuck by me and now it’s on season three, and it keeps happening with so many shows.
Eww.
