  • The fun thing with Musk is it’s now impossible to determine whether he’s lying, doing something stupid, or simply inaccurately reporting something someone who actually knows what they’re talking about told him.

This isn’t how you handle automated processes scraping you, you handle that by restricting things that human beings can’t do. Preventing literally every user from seeing a reasonable amount of content is just cutting off your nose to spite your face. And it’s an ad-supported service. If nobody’s able to view content, they’re also not viewing ads.

With this move, he has truly achieved fractal wrongness.

  • I think at this point the most likely scenario in this regard is that if Daniel seems up to what they’re looking for pace-wise in the tests he’s doing, they’ll look to slot him into Alpha Tauri next year with a view to having him firmly on deck if they wind up needing to make a change with Perez. Checo has definitely been underwhelming this year, but I think it’s only if he’s still underperforming next year that he faces the prospect of anything drastic. And on a similar line, De Vries seems like he’ll probably see out this year, but if things don’t improve for him then he’s who I’d expect to be moved aside for 2024 should they want to give Daniel a race seat.

  • I definitely wasn’t vibing with Need for Speed Unbound enough to buy it, but I’m more than happy to give it a play on Game Pass. This is one of the things I really like about Game Pass, as well as getting big-hitter first party games like Forza Motorsport and Starfield, it also offers an outlet to just check out games you otherwise might not have bothered with, but can probably still get some enjoyment out of. It’s really given a resurgence to the like B-tier of games that had way more prominence in like the PS2 era. Not everything needs to be a slam dunk great to be enjoyable, but with the high cost of new games now it can be difficult to justify the price for those that aren’t. Just passively getting access to them as part of a subscription really fixes that issue.

  • They’re pretty well liked in my family, I think my brother tends to stock up on either the Sea Salt or the Lightly Salted ridge cut when he’s visiting our parents. I’ve had them as a result, I think they’re alright.

This did cause me to find out they’re apparently being rebranded as “Taylor’s” following a sell off or something. I might have to alert the relatives lest there be panic about their crisps disappearing. I myself haven’t forgiven Walkers for getting rid of Barbecue flavour.

  • Yeah, my friend and I had the same reaction. We loved it for the most part, but the ending was fairly disappointing because we hadn’t heard about it being a 2-Parter (I have found out since it was talked about early on, but we other didn’t encounter that info or simply forgot as they de-emphasised it in marketing later) and even if we’d known that was coming, it doesn’t really feel like a complete story with a cliffhanger. It just feels like they didn’t resolve much and you have to come back. Even Infinity War at least felt like there was a complete story within itself, it just left the state of the universe dangling for the sequel.
