Personally I’m not even on a side currently, there’s too much info to sift through about the conflict, so I’d rather wait to form an actual opinion, although I do find I’m siding with Palestine more.
Also, I’d rather not add more stress to my life, I’d rather focus on bettering myself rather than worrying about problems on the other side of the world.
You may live in a different part of Melbourne than myself, as this is my experience in the western suburbs of Melbourne. I’m unsure of what your experience may be, but I’d find it just as valid as my own, since I haven’t been everywhere.
Well, I am unsure if I agree with that, as my business management class, which had pretty ordinary coursework about it without really anything ‘exciting’, had a vast majority of students paying tons of attention and actually learning, and half of the class was the stereotypical lazy bum students who acted macho and popular even though everyone hated them.
Although, the people who failed that class failed to the most catastrophic degree, as everyone else was well above passing, certain students got an overall score from 10 to 30% in total for all assessments.
I’m not too sure how standard this type of class is, so the success rate of accounting or other classes could be highly varied
Before I was randomly permabanned from Reddit, I got to enjoy Reddit’s dogshit post notifications, where it just recommends me a random post from a community that I’ve never interacted with or will ever, then come to realise it just brings me to the community, not the post.
Honestly I’m so glad I got banned from that shithole, from the pedo dms to the always pissed off Redditors replying to my comments, to the absolute neckbeard degenerates in the comment sections, it’s so freeing not experiencing that anymore.
As a melbournian myself, it’s really disappointing such a thing would occur, although that said I’m not surprised. I’m surrounded by peers who overwhelmingly support Palestine to the extent that they even have targeted hatred towards Jews, mostly singing songs glorifying genocide and throwing racial slurs, which I hypothesise could be the case here.
It’s to the extent that I am terrified to even mention which side I support, as this group would assault anyone with even slight variation in opinion, and the worst part is that I’m not even able to avoid these individuals as it’s a high school with an overwhelming amount of ‘free radicals’.
(And before you say that it’s their fault for supporting Israel, plenty of us do not and never have.)
Honestly, I have encountered my fair share of people who mistake people for supporters of regimes, and I’m really getting sick of it, like people keep saying that all Jews are Zionists and vice versa, but there really isn’t any connection besides the extremely basic surfsce level info.
fucking hillarious that teens are now basically banned from social media, but gambling ads and content are getting more accessible. I think the govt is fighting the wrong battle here.
Yep, I accidentally opened a news article when the news panel slid out without my knowledge, then I realised all my tabs, bookmarks, passwords, everything, was imported from chrome to edge. No consent, no nothing, it wasn’t even the first time I opened edge, it was just that this time it involved my data. Safe to say I reported it to the ACCC (Australian competition and consumer commission) and did as much as I could to erase my data from edge and stop edge from opening as easily.
As a gen Zer, I honestly use AI stuff too much, although I’ve never gotten so far into it that I developed a strong relationship, all I do with services like chatGPT and others are to ask questions about random topics, mainly random off-the-dome questions and advice on topics like games and schoolwork, and the occasional conversation.
I noticed that I tend to learn at a worse level and don’t research much above the surface nowadays due to this, and it seems like this excessively convenient service is causing a craving, just like alrogithmic social media addiction.
I’m a little lost on how to get myself out of this, although baby steps like causing more friction, such as removing AI app widgets on my mobile devices and web apps on desktop ones, could have some benefit, although for desktop, I mainly just type the URL anyway, so I’m not sure.
Shit I should do that too, I already reported it (ACCC), I don’t think a second time is worth it.
And without your knowledge, it copies all data from your actual browser.
Fuck it, I wanna be cryogenically frozen, if I can have the chance of living hundreds of years in the future, no matter how slim, I’d rather be prepared.
Instructions unclear, we now have robot billionaires who are just as greedy
Meanwhile, my internal monologue is the most chaotic little shit possible, my rational brain thinks that I shouldn’t do as my monologue says because this lil bro is 100% gonna say ‘kick the baby’ or some shit
Yeah I’ve had this same issue on my ThinkPad 11e I recently retired, especially when tinkering with gnome extensions, it was a pain trying to get the window to fit even half of its content, and all the stuff I needed, the bottom panel which had category selectors, was completely out of reach.
Having a digital license plate connected to some API for this would be legendary, although likely very illegal
