Foxconn: “We take offense to that. We make more than just phones. We also make TVs, PlayStations and EVs.”

It kind of depends on the job and the size of the company. My father was an engineer and spent time in offices and open floors full of drawing tables. The small companies could accommodate offices, but that was too hard to pull off with larger companies.
I remember some old offices buildings at MS where they tried to give everyone a little baby office, and it was actually pretty depressing and weird.
Your friend had impeccable taste. RIP
before that people had offices
This is kind of a myth. It’s not feasible for everyone to have an office if you have a lot of people in once space. Open floor plans were what people did.
A lot of offices didn’t, and some still don’t, consider the design of the floor plan. You’d end up with beige cubes filling most of the floor, with no little chill spots to break out and collaborate.
IMHO, a good floor plan has some areas for people to hide and focus, some comfortable areas to collaborate outside of a conference room, and some areas to recharge.
Gen X in their 20s: “Fuck these soulless cubicles.”
Gen X in their 40s: “We’re the boss now. Kill the cubicles. Open floor plan.”
Millennials in their 20s: “Fuck this distracting open floor plan.”
Millennials in their 40s: “I’m the boss now. Kill the open floor plan. Cubicles.
The thing that annoyed me the most about this shit was the false claim that physical fitness standards were lowered to accommodate women in combat roles. They weren’t. They remained high. Women in combat roles have to be able to do what the men did.
The GOP is now claiming that women would be allowed in combat roles if they were held to the same standard as men. That’s always been the case.
Fuck these assholes. They gin up fake ass stories to fire up TV audiences and voters.
I just left because the platform is full of spam, narcissists and crazy family members that I don’t need in my life. It’s not fun anymore. Hasn’t been for a decade.
His little hand is right there.
The original without the fingers drawn on.
I see fake smart phone bokeh. That stuff sucks with hair.
Yes, but the NFIP is a federal program and has the ability to cover much more.
They’re not trying, they’ve been leaving.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the government will need to treat the west coast like it treats the south east. Government natural disaster insurance to manage them the fact that private insurance is too expensive.
You can still get vintage Wagner cast iron for a decent price on eBay or FB marketplace, but over the past 15 years people have started to catch on to what I just mentioned. So it’s not as dirt cheap as it once was.
These days I generally know how to cook on a pitted lodge without it sticking, but smooth cast iron is more forgiving.
Used cast iron is usually better than a lot of new stuff. Back in the day, it was common for the pitted surfaces to be ground smooth.
Now you can only get that with some “premium brands” that are willing to take a grinder to a pan before throwing it in the box.
Exactly. When Bannon says that word he means “Elon’s not hiring enough white people.”
I dig the industrial design updates. Looks more refined, the bigger controllers will be nicer for multiplayer, and they finally fixed that terrible kick stand.
The leaked hardware specs, if real, also look promising.
