    I love me some clothes pins. One of the inventions I’m most proud of is a recipe holder. I used some doublesided tape to place a pin opening side down on one of the cabinets near the cooking range. Now I can hang recipes at eye level, out of the way.

      Clothes pins are the unsung heroes of diyers. Can they clamp small things? Yes! Can they hold things? Yes! Can they do much else? Depends what that means but those springs can be wicked handy.

      Nobody admits to using them but they don’t still exist for no reason damnit.

      And they are cheaper and better than the plastic alternatives. For what they are, you can’t improve them. They are perfect.

      Well… That’s a lie, a slight lip on the metal bit would keep them from falling apart but then nobody would ever buy new ones because they would last literally forever. Their only sale point is that they fall apart and are a pain in the ass to put back together.
