Israeli and foreign human rights groups have documented a long history of snipers firing on unarmed Palestinians, including children, in Gaza and the West Bank.
Palestinians in Gaza also report a terrifying new development in the latest Gaza war – armed drones able to hover over streets and pick off individuals. Called quadcopters, some of these drones are used as remote-control snipers that Palestinians say have been used to shoot civilians.
That’s… Its not good, or excusable, and the people who did that shit should, by the logic of revenge, which seems to be what everyone agrees on; be killed in public with their crimes carved into their skin.
But this is worse. This is “anyone who denies the nuclear option should be on the table isnt taking this seriously” levels of bad.
I used to say “I can never condemn any Palestinian for any violence done to any kapostani, or anyone reasonably mistaken for one (say, a tourist partying on occupied territory or anyone within about 500 feet of their “embassies”).”
Now? Now I can’t condemn anyone for it. And even collateral damage is… Not okay, but understandable.
