I’m watching it now, it’s bringing up a lot of the 1971 vibes, Im curious if there’s overlap. It absolutely does seem like we’re all stuck in 1999. We hear of medical advances, or the economy improving, but no one see’s it in their active life, either because it’s all smoke and mirrors, or tangled up in beurocracy and legalisms to prevent release until existing wealth is positioned to monopolize it for sale if not just outright hoarded by the powerful - like stem cell sped up physical recovery, and soon, abortion (rich women can fly abroad).
