    Yes, because 17 year olds are children. /s. They may be legal minors, and you may even consider them not fully adults, but they’re definitely not the same as an 8 year old.

      If we made it 16, you’d say the same about 15. And so on. There is a reason society implemented the age of consent.

            As someone who supports the right of mature people to make their own decisions? Yes, but I don’t know why you’re saying it like it’s a bad thing.
