    Yeah, my first thought as well was that “pulling up” would be pulling the steering wheel back, which wouldn’t do anything. Certainly wouldn’t swerve the car all the way off the road, you wouldn’t want to jerk a plane left or right in that scenario either.

    So… definitely made up. But still an amusing greentext.

      Would have been a better joke if they had paddle shifters and accidentally yanked hard on both.

      Not saying I believe the guy, but “pulling” the wheel could definitely make you swerve.

      Especially if it’s electric power steering vs hydraulic. And of course your current speed will also affect how much the vehicle reacts to input.

      Most peoples dominate side will react faster/stronger than non dominate side and if both hands aren’t on the wheel at the time that also introduces a delay that could lead to a swerve.
