I still hate what the movie did to Stilgar. Took an interesting, multidimensional character and turned him into boring, run of the mill religious zealot.
I agree, but also I think it could make for a good thing in Messiah if done well. I’d love to see the religious zealot see what he’s caused and begin to lose faith. The Hitler talk could be a really good point for this. It wouldn’t be the same story as the books, but we’re already past that being true.
