This feels very energizing. I think you’ll see democrats get a lot more excited about the election now. They’ll have a great time watching the talking heads arguing over who should be VP. The contrast between team hold-onto-power-no-matter-what and team democrat will not be missed on low information voters.

Or, what would happen if there was no second debate, which I’m sure is what the Republicans were planning for. Why consider a second debate when the only thing it could do is make Biden look better? They would have used every rule and excuse to get out of having a second debate so that the only image voters had of Biden was from the first one.
