Okay, so, maybe constantly shitting on people that are actively trying to make progress towards that goalpost isn’t the best way to do it?

You can’t shame or guilt people into doing good things. You can only shame them away from bad things.

Of course, the counter argument will be that anyone that supports progress is still supporting oppressive systems, because progress means you’re still within the existing system. So it’s self justifying, because there’s no rational way to leap from where we are now to where we want to be that doesn’t involve being between those two points.
