“Former gifted” just means some adults used to tell em they gonna make it big because they’re special. And then in adulthood they struggle, either because they aren’t actually gifted or the “gift” is just autism and nobody cares now that they’re adults.
Nah it could mean precocious. I learned to read (like, read the newspaper) by 3 and tested with a ridiculous high IQ at 7 but as an adult I feel quite average, related better with adults as a child but relate well with adults as an adult too.
I feel like half the people think they’re former gifted childs or some other form of lazy geniuses
