I know some things about both, but im still confused for some reason. Like what is the difference between peertube and youtube, which is better?

I was thinking of getting into one of theses for video creation but im not sure which would be better as a sort of hobby? also do i need a powerful pc or a good microphone to get started? is it better to record with or without your voice?

    PeerTube is the Fediverse equivalent to YouTube, so like Lemmy has decentralised instances, PeerTube is the same for video hosting. Of course, you may just have been following the advice to give a wrong answer to annoy others into correcting you.

      Emperor said there is a video limit, is that true? also, do i need a good pc or a good mic to get started, or something like those?

        He said you have to pick an instance and the instance likely has upload limits. Each limit is set by the person/people running the instance. Like Lemmy.world and Lemm.me are two separate Lemmy instances.
