Sorry if this seems silly but I was on news@lemmy.world and the comments started to go away (even some of my own) rapidly. I am still new to the lemmying and was wondering if I could find out whats going on?

I don’t think it is necessarily censorship as the remaining posts are similar enough to the ones removed.

    Mod removes them. Check the mod log. Nested posts get removed if parent posts are removed.

      Thanks, I would have assumed the nested posts would stay. Looks like they are removed because the posts where “not civil”

        Oh god really? I was hoping that we would be getting away from that Reddit style pandering to the lowest common denominator crap here on lemmy.world

        Was it some really racist or nasty shit? If not that’s disappointing that it was removed
