Surprised lemmy.ml hasn’t defederated that instance, given the massive amount of brigading, racism and blatant misinformation that their users encourage.

lemmy.world, while much saner, does have its drawbacks. Anyone know of any similar instances that I can join?

if you actually believe what you’ve just commented, I don’t think we can have a sensible argument here. but for anyone out there reading this: no, they’re nothing like the “average lemmy user”, and they don’t “frame real facts” lmao. they post Nazi ideology openly, trying to frame people like Hitler, Xi Jin Ping, Putin in a positive light… They literally posted propoganda on how the Tiananmen Square Massacre isn’t real. that instance is nothing short of deranged and straight up nonsense

They fucking hate Hitler and fascists and dont see todays russia in a good light. I would agree that hexbear is an echochamber about china but the same is true with reddit or other such sites, only in the other direction, where every single action of china gets seen as something they do because they are evil.

And even then hexbear advocates for left unity, which I can understand although I still dont like left wing authoritarians that much more than right wing auths. But that means that there are some “tankies” on it that do have positive views on the UdSSR and the PRC. And would you want to defederate from pro USA instances as well? Because I cant really see many qualitative differences between the atrocities done by the USA and the PRC.

They talk openly about supporting Putin’s actions in Ukraine. They push the denazification lie. If they want left unity, they need to drop the garbage tankie ideology and actually start discussing worker’s rights and social programs.
