Just more convenient to use the desire path on bicycles etc, i took it too. After i took the photo, two kids came through there, one on a scooter who took the desire path and one walking, walking through the gates.
*edit: the gates are also only there to slow down cyclists before entering the road.
That’s a strange one. They’re not even using the quickest path. The gates are staggered so you can walk through them.
