“As the laws in this country change before our very eyes,” Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham said on the day Roe was reversed, “I will continue to fight for the right to a safe, legal abortion in New Mexico and stand as a brick wall against those who seek to punish women and their doctors just because they seek the care they need and deserve.”

In the year since Dobbs, New Mexico has been a brick wall and a safe haven — for those who provide abortions and those who desire or need them.

Obama could have, should have, codified it into law, but didn’t. This gives the fake liberals something to run on instead of real things like a livable wage or healthcare for all. God I hate this fucking country.

At no point were there 60 votes in the Senate for codifying roe v wade into federal law, and the Supreme Court could have just tossed out that hypothetical law anyways.

Common misconception. He didn’t have a supermajority due to illness and delays.

He had a supermajority for about a month and a half. But it was also dependent on several anti abortion conservative Democrats. There was never a time when he had 60 votes.

The way to prevent this was electing Clinton in 2016

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say before that, we should have elected Al Gore in 2000. Oh wait, we did elect Al Gore in 2000.

Clinton was openly calling for war with Syria as part of her presidential platform. I don’t know a single person that wanted the US dragged into another useless war.
